PROUD PARTNERS:

Welcome to the 2008 National Migration
Conference Website

Co-sponsored by the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC) and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops/Migration and Refugee Services (USCCB/MRS) in partnership with Catholic Charities USA and Catholic Relief Services.

On July 28-31, 2008, over 800 persons that represent the networks of CLINIC and MRS along with government officials, non profit organizations, Church officials and other interested individuals gathered in Washington DC to call attention to the plight of immigrants, migrants, refugees, human trafficking victims, unaccompanied children, and other vulnerable persons.

The gathering focused on the work done by these different agencies, provided training and networking opportunities for those in attendance. Special thank you to our partners, sponsors and registrants whose contributions ensured the success of the conference.

The following pages provide a synopsis of the conference with highlights of presentations by keynote speakers, workshop materials and other accomplishments of the conference. Please browse freely and contact us if you have any questions.
