We have negotiated a special discounted room rate of $165 per night* at our host hotel, The Hilton Washington. It not only offers great amenities and the best networking opportunities, but booking your accommodations within the National Migration Conference’s room block will help us meet our obligation to the hotel and avoid penalties, and help keep registration prices down for future conferences.

When making your reservations, be sure to mention the group name -- 2008 National Migration Conference -- to secure the special conference group rate.

 

*Please note the cutoff date for reservations is June 28, 2008. After June 28, the hotel will continue to accept reservations on a space-available basis, but discounted conference rates will no longer apply. Please make every effort to book your reservation before the deadline to guarantee your space at the special conference group rate being offered.

 

For those registering from the CLINIC and MRS networks that have been notified of a registration code signifying a scholarship or subsidy from one of these organizations, please be sure to also mention this information when making your reservation.  All hotel registrants will be required to guarantee their reservations with a credit card whether or not they are to receive a scholarship or subsidy.


Airport & Local Transportation

 

We've compiled some tips to help get you to your destination during the 2008 National Migration Conference. This page has information on public transportation options, including the DC Metro system, taxis, and driving directions to the Hilton Washington.

 

Taxis from Airports

 

Approximate distance and fares from Washington D.C.’s local and regional airports

  • Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) (6 miles) - approximately $19 plus gratuity; allow 30 minutes drive time, depending on traffic
  • Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) (27 miles) – approximately $55 plus gratuity; allow 40 minutes drive time, depending on traffic.
  • Baltimore–Washington International Airport (BWI) (33 miles) – approximately $65 plus gratuity; allow 60 minutes drive time, depending on traffic

Hotel parking is $23 per day, including in/out privileges.

 

Metro from the Airport to the Hotel

 

All the airports are served by Metro, either by bus or subway. National Airport is the only Metro (Yellow Line) service that goes directly to and from the airport. Shuttle busses run from BWI and Dulles at regular intervals during the day and evening.

Walking Directions from Nearest Metro Station (Dupont Circle):

 

The Dupont Circle Metro Station is located on the Red Line and is the closest to the hotel. Exit at the north end of the Station to Q Street, and walk approximately two and a half blocks north on Connecticut Avenue to the hotel at 1919 Connecticut Avenue. The hotel is across Connecticut on the east side.
